What are the benefits of applying?

How do I apply?

You can submit your application for the Investor Award by filling this form here.

If you would like to nominate an investor, please fill a seperate form here.

When is the deadline to submit?
The submission deadline is at 12pm on the 22nd of May 2026.
How much time is needed to complete the application?
Applicants will be invited to answer 19 questions and upload supporting documents. The application takes between 20 to 40 minutes to complete. 
Which device is best to use to submit the application?

We recommended completing the application form using a desktop or laptop. 

When will I receive my ticket discount code for the EdTechX Summit?
Our team review applicants on a periodical basis and issue the discount upon satisfactory review of an application. Please feel free to reach out to carolyn@ibiscap.com should you wish to receive the discount code promptly.
Where and when will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced at the EdTechX Summit. at County Hall, London on 16th June 2026.
Do winners need to be present to collect the trophy?
Yes, winners should be present to collect the award at the EdTechX Summit. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by 30th of May to allow time to make travel arrangements. 
What if I need a visa to travel to the UK?

If you require an Invitation Letter to obtain a UK visa, please email the request to carolyn@ibiscap.com with the following information: 

  • Given Name 
  • Surname 
  • Passport Number 
  • Date of Expiry 
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth 
What information / documents should I prepare before starting the application?
  • Case Study Deck – Example of relatable investment or exit 
  • Company Deck – e.g Investment criteria, recent investments/exits, fund performance   
  • Impact / ESG report (where applicable) 
What will my information be used for?
All information submitted remains strictly confidential and will be used in the selection process to determine award winners (find more information in the Selection Criteria & Judging Process section).

Selection Criteria & Judging Process 

Over the past decade, IBIS Capital have applied a framework to assess applicants on a set of qualitative and quantitative criteria to identify a shortlist of candidate winners. IBIS engages a panel of experts to review this shortlist and input their independent opinion prior to establishing each year’s winners.  

Investors will be assessed based on the qualitative and quantitative elements of the application. The selection will be determined by the following criteria: 

  • Number of nominations 
  • Strength & completeness of application (direct sector coverage/knowledge) 
  • Supporting documents (qualitative and quantitative Information) 

Confidentiality & Data Protection 

All information submitted by applicants remains strictly confidential and will be used for the purposes of assessing applications.
