From 16th to 20th June, London once again became a hotspot for innovation, collaboration, and future-thinking discussions. With an exceptional lineup of workshops, panels, demo days, and startup showcases, the week brought together more than 1,000 attendees from 73 countries in the heart of London to explore emerging trends, uncover timely solutions, and connect with peers and pioneers across the education, training and work landscape.
Covering everything from global partnerships and scaling strategies to AI’s impact and responsible innovation, the week’s programme explored the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry — while also focusing on startup growth, product-market fit, and ecosystem development.

The week highlighted the growing internationalisation of EdTech. Events such as “Unlocking EdTech Potential in Qatar” (WISE),“EdTech Together: Beyond Borders” (DOHE & MindCET) and the“International EdTech Welcome” (London & Partners & VWV) highlighted cross-border partnerships, market-entry strategies, and the expansion of innovation into regions like the Middle East, Europe, and the UK.
There was a strong focus on supporting early-stage and scaling startups. The Global Startup Mini Summit (UCL EdTech Labs, techUK, European EdTech Alliance & EmpowerED project), Edu Challenger’s Accelerator Demo Day, and the Redefining Learning Forum (DOHE & techUK) explored funding strategies, sustainability, and market-readiness. Meanwhile, investors and accelerators such as Ufi Ventures, and Cooley — along with partners Brighteye Ventures, Oppenheimer & Co. and EDT&Partners — offered candid conversations and guidance on venture-building, M&A strategies, and lessons for European companies scaling into the US market amid a changing geopolitical landscape, providing valuable networking and growth opportunities.
AI emerged as a major driver of educational transformation. From “EdTech Futures” (WISE & Perlego) to the QS University AI Readiness Workshop, discussions centred on how AI is reshaping learning, workforce needs, and institutional readiness. The intersection of AI, pedagogy, and employability was a focal point throughout the week.
Sessions such as “Maximizing the Impact of EdTech Products” (WISE & Perlego) and the QS AI Competency Framework reflected the growing demand for robust evaluation, standards, and ethical frameworks. There was a clear push toward measurable impact, responsible AI use, and trust-building through evidence-based approaches.
A number of sessions focused on how EdTech solutions move from concept to meaningful, scalable impact. “Product-Market Fit for Transformative Learning” (Brighteye Ventures & Matt Walton) explored the key stages of aligning products with real user needs, while the Redefining Learning Forum (DOHE & techUK) highlighted the role of funding and scalability in successful adoption. “Maximizing the Impact of EdTech Products” (WISE and Perlego) tackled the challenge of real-world adoption head-on, offering strategies to ensure EdTech tools are effective, scalable, and outcome-driven.
Networking receptions, informal meetups, and themed socials included the “Official Opening Reception” hosted by Brighteye Ventures & Cooley, “Vivi Unplugged”, Ufi Ventures’ Workforce Development Reception in partnership with techUK, and the Bett Networking Drinks. Facilitating meaningful relationship-building across the ecosystem, these events emphasised peer learning, community engagement, and long-term ecosystem development.
As the flagship event of London EdTech Week, the EdTechX Summit brought together a high-calibre community of 250+ global leaders, investors, innovators, and policymakers across the education, training, and work sectors to explore the ideas and technologies that are setting the pace for the future of the industry.
Through a rich mix of keynotes, panel discussions, and fireside chats, the programme explored critical themes from workforce transformation and shifting policy and publishing landscapes to the rise of AI and immersive technologies, and strategies for long-term investment resilience. A standout opening presentation by Charles McIntyre and Rory Henson of IBIS Capital set the tone, offering a sharp analysis of sector trends, the challenges and opportunities of AI, and a compelling vision for the future of education and technology. The highly anticipated EdTechX Awards also celebrated outstanding innovation and impact across education, training, and work.
London EdTech Week 2025 demonstrated a clear drive to create meaningful change across the sector — through global ambition, thoughtful AI integration, and a united effort to deliver transformative outcomes for learners and professionals worldwide.
