How do I apply?
You can submit your application by filling this form here.
When is the deadline to submit?
The submission deadline is Wednesday, 14th May 2025 at 5pm BST.
How much time is needed to complete the application?
Applicants will be invited to answer 22 questions and upload supporting documents. The application takes between 30 to 45 minutes to complete. 
Which device is best to use to submit the application?

We recommended completing the application form using a desktop or laptop. 

Are there any benefits for applying?

Applicants

All applicants receive the following:

  • Inclusion in a global community of over 1,200 award contestants
  • Opportunity to be featured in the EdTechX Awards wrap-up reports
  • Ticket discount - Upon satisfactory completion and submission of an application, the applicant will be offered a 50% discount to attend EdTechX Summit on 17th June 2025, where the winners will be announced.

Winners

Access to EdTechX community rewards, which include the following:

  • Submission of a featured article for publication in the X Report Newsletter and/or EdTechX360 publication
  • Complimentary ticket to the EdtechX Summit 2026
  • Opportunity to be included in curated invite-only dinners hosted by IBIS Capital. Dinners are thematic, investment-oriented or focused on peer executives and non-executives

 

When will I receive my ticket discount code for the EdTechX Summit?
Our team review applicants on a periodical basis and issue the discount upon satisfactory review of an application. Please feel free to reach out to carolyn@ibiscap.com should you wish to receive the discount code promptly.
Where and when will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced at the EdTechX Summit at County Hall, London on 17th June 2025.
Do winners need to be present to collect the trophy?
Yes, winners should be present to collect the award at the EdTechX Summit. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by 30th of May to allow time to make travel arrangements. 
What if I need a visa to travel to the UK?

If you require an Invitation Letter to obtain a UK visa, please email the request to carolyn@ibiscap.com with the following information: 

  • Given Name 
  • Surname 
  • Passport Number 
  • Date of Expiry 
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth 
What information / documents should I prepare before starting the application?
  • Case Study Deck – Example of relatable investment or exit 
  • Company Deck – e.g Investment criteria, recent investments/exits, fund performance   
  • Impact / ESG report (where applicable) 
What will my information be used for?
All information submitted remains strictly confidential and will be used in the selection process to determine award winners (find more information in the Selection Criteria & Judging Process section)
Can I nominate a company to be considered for the awards?

Yes, you can nominate an investor using this form if you think it should be considered for an EdTechX  Investor Award.

Selection Criteria & Judging Process 

Over the past decade, IBIS Capital have applied a framework to assess applicants on a set of qualitative and quantitative criteria to identify a shortlist of candidate winners. IBIS engages a panel of experts to review this shortlist and input their independent opinion prior to establishing each year’s winners.  

Investors will be assessed based on the qualitative and quantitative elements of the application. The selection will be determined by the following criteria: 

  • Number of nominations 
  • Strength & completeness of application (direct sector coverage/knowledge) 
  • Supporting documents (qualitative and quantitative Information) 

Confidentiality & Data Protection 

All information submitted by applicants remains strictly confidential and will be used for the purposes of assessing applications.
