Our IBIS Capital judging panel commented, “Sermo was shortlisted as a result of its 1.3m strong global network of physicians, who engage with the platform to provide actionable insights for the improvement of patient outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem. The business has profitably scaled across international markets and has created a significant moat given the investment required to build up a verified network of this size.”

STARTUP FINALISTS

Alio Alio’s wearable patch enables the highly specific monitoring of key health metrics which facilitate the improved care of patients with end-stage kidney disease — a patient population which accounts for a disproportionately high healthcare system cost. The company’s innovative solution rates highly in terms of both impact and in commercial growth potential.

Sweetch Sweetch’s innovative patient engagement platform facilitates just-in-time-adaptive-interventions, leveraging proprietary AI and EI-driven insights. Through established partnerships with top global pharma companies, the platform allows patients to take control of their health.

Verantos Verantos’s real world evidence platform addresses a truly difficult problem associated with the extraction and generation of actionable insights from complex, unstructured, clinical data. The platform has a strong customer base and has grown a significant commercial operation despite relatively limited funding rasied to date.

Vinehealth Vinehealth’s digital cancer companion app delivers personalised supportive care to patients during one of the most challenging stages of their lives. Selling into a notoriously difficult customer (NHS), Vinehealth reaches a significant patient community (>20,000), while simultaneously delivering actionable insights for global pharma customers.

SCALEUP FINALISTS

Cera Cera’s home healthcare platform has shown incredible growth over the recent years, solidifying its position as a leader in its field in the UK. In 2022, the company raised Europe’s largest UK HealthTech fundraise of $320m, prompting the expansion of the platform to international markets.

TRIPP, Inc TRIPP has entered the relatively crowded wellness platform market with a truly differentiated solution, centred on its unique XR experiences, which support users to improve their mental health. With clinical studies ongoing, the company is soon to launch a clinically validated companion experience for psychedelic-assisted therapy.
