Since its launch in June 2013, The EdTechX Awards have attracted over 1,200 leading companies which have collectively contributed to more than €10bn in transaction value through fundraising, growth investments and acquisitions. While success is often driven by company leadership and the employees, the value of an investor "who brings more than capital" is a song often played but not heard. These awards seek to earmark those investors, across different stages of investment, who have been instrumental to a company's success.

Awards Selection Process
Over the past decade, IBIS Capital have applied a framework to assess applicants on a set of qualitative and quantitative criteria to identify a shortlist of candidates and winners. The information submitted will be maintained as confidential and strictly used for the purposes of assessing the applicants' merits for the award. IBIS may contact a nominator to further assess a candidate's application.
The selection of winners will be determined using the following criteria:
- The number and strength of nominations from peers
- Evidence of expertise & completeness of application (sector coverage and knowledge)
- Supporting material (qualitative and quantitative information)
