Ross is the founder of @TeacherToolkit and founded the company in 2008 with a simple Twitter account. Ross is an experienced senior teacher with a career-history spanning 25+ years working in state schools across London. He is also an award-winning teacher, author and blogger. He is frequently asked to speak at national conferences across the world and is asked to reflect on educational developments about education policy. In 2015, Ross was nominated for ‘500 Most Influential People in the Britain’ by Debrett’s for his influence on education. He is currently training teachers and studying for his doctorate at Cambridge University.

Dr Kiran Nair| Programme Director/Ass. Professor | Abu Dhabi School of Management

Dr. Kiran Nair is an Associate Professor of Management and the MBA Director at ADSM. Before teaching at ADSM, he taught courses at the American University in the Emirates Dubai. Dr. Nair has 17 years of industry experience, having worked with various multinational organizations in the Middle East and India. His primary responsibilities have spanned Sales & Distribution Management, Marketing, and General Management. He has held various  key positions such as Regional Business Development Manager, Product Head, Category Head, and Country Manager throughout his career.

In addition, he holds several professional certifications from some of the leading international universities such as Harvard Business School, London School of Business, University of Michigan, and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmadabad. Dr. Nair has published and co-authored several academic research papers and has presented and garnered the best paper presentation award from several international academic conferences. His research interests relate to various marketing fields such as Consumer Behaviour, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, AI in Marketing, Influencer Marketing, etc.

Deahna Grazioli |STEAM & Technology Educator |Hazlet Township Public Schools, New Jersey

I am a Technology and STEAM teacher for 5th and 6th graders in Hazlet, New Jersey. I received my BA in English and Elementary Education from Georgian Court University. I earned my Masters degree in Computing from Columbia University. I started out teaching Language Arts and Social Studies and moved into the Technology and Administrative Assistant position while in graduate school. In my practice, I love to incorporate arts into projects, and enhance them with various technologies like circuits, LEDs, digital design, coding, and robotics. My position allows me to have freedom with lessons, while focusing on providing skills needed for students to thrive as innovative thinkers. I believe that education should be based around teaching the whole child and fostering an intrinsic love for learning. In the future, I want to design a school that operates as a global learning community and encourages individual passions, curiosity, and problem solving.

James Mutton | Deputy Head, Digital Innovation and Curriculum | Putney High School

James Mutton is Deputy Head, Digital Innovation and Curriculum at Putney High School. He has always been interested in using digital technology in the classroom to enhance learning opportunities for students and to improve systems in school to free up teachers’ time. Ever keen to try something new, his recent projects include programming drones in Year 9 Computing and designing a robotics table for his Year 7 Robotics club.

Carla Aerts | Founder | Refracted

Founder of Refracted! an online global inter-disciplinary learning and education community, Carla, an inter-disciplinarian and change maker, strives for piercing the silos in education. An EdTech thought leader and learning scientist, she recently ran a global EdTech catalyst and Think Tank: the Tmrw Institute bringing international education stakeholders together: from policymakers, EdTech start-ups to learners. She also ran the Next Billion EdTech Prize for start-ups in the Global South and resource-poor contexts. Carla was director of futures at UCL - Institute of Education in London, where she developed new strategic initiatives, developed and ran an EdTech start-up programme that mentored 250 start-ups in impact evidencing and research as well as start-up development. Prior to this role, Carla was Global Digital Director at Cambridge University Press. Carla led on EdTech product developments and ran digital education programmes across Europe, India, Japan, Korea. She has provided advisory input for education reform programmes.

She started mentoring EdTech start-ups 8 years ago and has mentored over 100 start-ups and non-profit organisations, an activity she enjoys hugely. Most recently Carla mentored non-profit organisations working in refugee camps and socio-economic deprived contexts, affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Carla speaks and moderates at international conferences, appears on podcasts and is a member of the WEF Expert Network on AI and Childhood. She also sits on a number of boards and advisory boards. She is a governor at her local rural primary school.

Mary Ellen Wiltrout | Director of Online and Blended Learning Initiatives, Lecturer in Digital Learning |MIT

Mary Ellen has led the execution of the digital learning strategy for the Department of Biology at MIT for over six years. In this role, she trains and mentors postdoctoral fellows and students, manages the digital learning projects for the department including MOOCs and hybrid learning experiences, and conducts research on the design of digital learning experiences. Her group recently received a silver award in the science of learning category at the Reimagine Education conference. Prior to her current position, Mary Ellen earned her PhD in Biology from MIT, and then taught at Harvard University. Mary Ellen’s broader roles at MIT include being a senior member of the Digital Learning Lab, an organizer of workshops on digital learning, and held an ex-officio role on the MITx Faculty Advisory Committee.
